“Parachutes”, Coldplay

This animation celebrates the 20th anniversary of Coldplay’s debut album “Parachutes” as if Spotify was advertising it. The format for this animation was shaped like a circle to emulate a record. I went for a collage style to create a cut paper effect in the motion, and also to achieve a surreal type of world that matched the look and feel of the band. The main concept for the animation was the color yellow, which also gives one of Coldplay’s most popular songs its name.
